“Lower Danube” University in Galati is the largest higher education institution in the southeast of the country. It is located in the center of the city of Galati, port on the Danube, with a population of over 250,000 inhabitants. “Lower Danube” University in Galati has 12,500 students, being the center of technical, scientific, cultural and social progress with immediate applicability or in the medium and long term, intended to contribute primarily to the progress of the municipality of Galati. In this sense, the university collaborates closely with the socio-economic environment, offering it the specialists it needs, consultancy, technical solutions to current problems.
Currently, the “Lower Danube” University in Galati has 14 faculties and prepares students for undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies in various fields (technical, humanistic, economic, health, artistic). “Lower Danube” University in Galaţi organizes the second cycle of two-year studies for the graduates of the first cycle. Within the “Lower Danube” University in Galaţi, doctoral studies are conducted in 4 Doctoral Schools, 16 doctoral fields, under coordination of 113 PhD supervisors.
“Lower Danube” University in Galati undertakes the mission of generating and transferring knowledge to society through:
- initial training and continuous training at university and postgraduate level, for the purpose of personal development, professional insertion of the individual and satisfying the need for competence of the socio-economic environment;
- scientific research, development, innovation and technological transfer, through individual and collective creation, in the field of sciences, engineering sciences, economic sciences, arts, letters, humanities, medical sciences, legal sciences, by ensuring performances and physical and sports development, as well as the valorization and dissemination of their results.
The objective of the university is to ensure the quality of the didactic activity at the level of national and international standards by:
- the improvement of educational plans, analytical programs and didactic methods of teaching and evaluation;
- the improvement of education based on transferable study credits, to ensure the possibility of students moving from one study program to another and the international recognition of the diplomas awarded by the University;
- the development, diversification and capitalization of concerns related to the computerization of the didactic-formative process;
- discovering, stimulating and valorizing students’ skills, paying particular attention to individual values.
The development of advanced, fundamental and applied research is done through:
- increasing the human potential and material resources of the research centers;
- stimulating the participation of research groups in national and international competitions, for financial support and ensuring the visibility of fundamental and applied research;
- development, certification and diversification of research centers;
- the development of international scientific cooperation, including by stimulating participation in research, development and innovation programs at the international level.
The university offers all members of the community the necessary conditions for putting personal skills into practice through education, scientific research and social-cultural activities.
Associação Portuguesa de Business Intelligence
Associação Portuguesa de Business Intelligence (APBI) – is a non-profit association, made up of business intelligence professionals with decades of experience in areas as diverse as the public sector, education, health, finance, banking, sports, small and medium-sized companies. APBI invests in collaboration with higher education, through close contacts with department directors, professors and researchers, promoting the dissemination of cutting-edge academic knowledge in the business world and valuing new professionals in the field. In addition, APBI helps to discover and refer to promising young companies, promoting robust recruitment strategies and a culture of partnerships with companies, which value future professionals and increase the quality of training provided at universities, adapting it to the market demand.

INNETICA
Founded in 2009, INNETICA is a non-profit association whose mission is to promote cooperation between entities throughout Europe to promote European values, in accordance with article 2 of the Treaty on European Union. For this, we mainly focus on three fields:
- Education and training: INNETICA will contribute to improving the quality of Education and Training of the associated entities through the development of European projects that facilitate innovation and the exchange of good practices. It will also support and organize training programs, symposia and conferences, cooperating and collaborating with national and international organizations.
- Research, development and social and cultural innovation: all this through an innovative vision of the activity of educational entities and training centres that must integrate respect for ethical values. The research and innovation carried out by INNETICA have as its focus and objective the human being in any of its social and cultural environments.
- ICT applied to education and social and cultural innovation: in addition, INNETICA aims to use all kinds of electronic media that can have different purposes: didactic, health, cultural, well-being …
In addition to this, we want to promote sustainable development through different initiatives aimed at protecting the environment. We integrate a diversity of European partners to promote research projects, technological development and social innovation, in addition to developing educational projects and teaching activities.
Based on these pillars, INNETICA will provide the necessary infrastructures for a research and social innovation centre that will bring together university entities, public bodies, companies, training centres, as well as intellectuals, professionals and volunteers who contribute their ideas and experiences to the change and improvement in European societies.
To fulfil all these purposes, we develop various activities, for example:
- Carrying out activities to disseminate the results of the projects in which INNETICA participates through different media such as Social Networks, Media, Seminars and Workshops.
- Publications, creation and development of content, applications and digital services related to the aforementioned areas in different languages.
- Preparation of projects for the financing of the different programs of the European Union (Erasmus+, Horizon 2020, etc.) and participation in those offered by the different partners of the European networks in which INNETICA participates.
